Context

Enterprise UX / B2E (Business to Employee)

My Role

UX/UI Designer

Platform

Crew Handheld Terminals (Internal Device)

1. Real-Time Answers at 30,000 ft

Passengers are increasingly asking about the environmental impact of their flights while on board.

The Gap

Cabin crew had access to the data (backend existed), but lacked a front-end interface on their service terminals to calculate and communicate this information instantly.

The Goal

Empower the crew with a quick, accessible tool to advise passengers on CO2 compensation and sustainability during the flight.

2. The Solution: Efficiency meets Brand Consistency

Since the users are employees working in a fast-paced environment, the UI needed to be strictly functional yet pleasant.

  • From Wireframes to Hi-Fi: I translated basic functional requirements into a polished interface.

  • Design System Compliance: The design strictly adhered to the company’s Internal Software Guidelines. This ensured familiarity for the crew and reduced the learning curve.

  • Focus on Usability: I prioritized readability and tap targets. The UI is clean and high-contrast to ensure legibility under cabin lighting conditions and during service rushes.

3. The Result: Empowering the Crew

The final product was a seamless integration into the crew’s existing digital toolkit.

Outcome

Flight attendants can now provide accurate, data-backed sustainability advice in seconds, elevating the customer service experience and reinforcing the airline’s green initiatives.
